Chinese New Year Mood

Look what we've done in a weekend:

Pineapple Tart:

Everything was made from scratch. I stood in front of the stove for a good whole hour just to get the right wetness and sweetness for the jam.

Traditional Kueh Lapis:
This is my favourite out of the three. Despite the long hours and repeated handling of trays in and out of the oven, it's all worth while. The cake is super moist and it's not too sweet. The spice taste was not too overpowering. My mum is not a fan of cinnamon , cloves and nutmeg but she devoured the whole piece in two bites. * The colour looked better in real life*

Cashew Nut Cookies:
The pastry simply melts in the mouth while the nut gives a subtle crunchiness to it. Oh, and it's a vegetarian recipe.

It's the new Volkswagen Golf R. Haa.. I know la.. don't really look like. We tried our best though.. perhaps the wheels should have been smaller

X'mas cookies we did for church... 350 of them! It felt like eternity but it was definitely great fun!
Butter and Chocolate cookies with Royal Icing.. Was too tired to take a photo of the rest of the designs!!! Totally regretting it now...

Not forgetting X'mas cupcakes!

Hello Kitty & Friends

This customer is a great fan of Hello Kitty. When we delivered the cake to her house, we were actually greeted by her big collection of cute Hello Kitty soft toys first. Gosh, it's amazing and unbelievable.

This cake was made for Little Hazel. She's a year old.

This is a 5 inch & 8 inch round cake. Feeds about 40-45 people.

Aren't the characters cute? My favourite is Keropi! He's so cute and happy. Lights up my day.

Baby Natalie

This cake was done specially for my best friend's niece. He wanted it simple and nice. This is what i came up with.
Initally, I ran into some problem with the shoe. Free-hand wasn't easy. The proportions got to be accurate or else the shoe shape would look weird. It took a lil time but I'm glad i made it through.
